when i first began taking studio fine art lessons, one of the first techniques i learned was to approach every composition using the most basic shapes of circle, triangle, and square. from there, all intricacy and nuance would develop organically.

back to basics is an allegorical poster based on the idea that all problems, regardless of scope or complexity, must be addressed from the core outward. typography, line, shape, copy, and grid structure communicate this message.
